YES Day

Yes Day.....Oh, what an absolutely delightful and very exhausting day.  Back when I went to 'Moms and Muffins' with Kadence we went to her class and we read this book.  She told me that she knows that I would never let them have a Yes Day. What?! Challenge accepted! Basically for one entire day you can only answer yes to any question. I did put the restriction that it had to be safe and it couldn't be Disneyland. They knew that we were going to do it this summer but didn't know when.  We woke them up and surprised them by telling them it was Yes Day! I reminded them plenty that this was the one day that they could do all the things we never let them do. I tried to write down the questions and take questions as the day went on.  I didn't write down all the questions, there were just too many!

Our Yes Day lasted 14.5 hours, cost us $157 and left all of us so happy and looking forward to next summer when we do it again.  I'm excited to see how it varies from year to year.  The girls will get bigger ideas, it will cost more money and yet it will still be so much fun.  David and I have agreed that we will continue this until we have grandbabies and then we'll do it with them instead.

  1. My kids want to do this now. I read them this post like it was a story, and ended each one of your girls' questions with, "And their mommy said yes!"
They especially giggled at the wet willy and spankings part:)

  2. This is such a cute idea! I can see how it would get pricey, but the memories are more important than money.
