Comic Con

For Fathers Day this year the girls and I bought David tickets to Comic Con.  I knew that I would not be near as excited as he was about all the different things so we bought a ticket for Jeff to join us too.  That way David and Jeff could get excited together and the girls and I would just enjoy ourselves in between.  We went down on Friday, September 5th, and were able to get our wristbands and look around for about an hour before it closed.  We went to our hotel and checked in. We then went the next morning and our Gold Pass made it so we could get in an hour earlier than the general passes.  This was SO nice! You could definitely tell when the hour was up because it started getting really crowded.  At a certain point it was hard to walk anywhere without losing part of our group of 5,  It was a lot of fun and I'm glad we were able to experience it together.  Shelby said "I know another day besides Halloween when you can be anyone you want to be.....comic con day" It made me laugh because there were some interesting costumes for sure.

Shelby met Batman while wearing her Batman shirt/cape and shoes.

The girls were excited to see the whole gang together!

 Highlight of day 1....Jack Skellington!

While driving around trying to find somewhere to eat the first night we passed an organic store.  Jeff had just heard on the radio that morning that they had grapes that tasted like cotton candy.  We had to stop in and buy some!  It was so strange, they honestly tasted like cotton candy.  Some were stronger than others, but they all tasted like one of my favorite treats!
