The girls couldn't wait to see if the leprechaun came and it did! We tell them that the leprechaun doesn't come every year and not to every house. We also tell them that leprechauns never came to our houses when we were little. David and I want to keep it a tradition even when they are older and know better because it's fun and we can just get more elaborate when they are older. This time the leprechaun moved our kitchen table to the living room, stacked our stools so it could wrap streamers to the light and left treats and fun surprises.
The girls were surprised when they found a stuffed animal under their leprechaun trap instead of a leprechaun.
The table was even decorated with green!
The girls didn't get to go to school because we are horrible and scheduled dental work on St. Patrick's Day. They were still happy and had a great day despite one getting a tooth pulled and the other getting 5 cavities filled. (I forgot to get a picture of Kadence because I was busy making sure she stayed calm)
St. Patrick's Day has special meaning to our family and we talk about the first time Kadence was casted and we had a delivery of toys and money to her room by an anonymous person. We focus most on that each year. The girls mostly remembered the story which was good. The next day we got a package in the mail from a state in which we know not a single soul. It was full of a lot of St Patrick's Day fun and $20 wishing us well on Kadence's surgeries. It baffles us and the girls think its fun that we have two mysteries to solve now. We tried to look up the return address but its an apartment complex so we can't mail a thank you. It seriously drives us absolutely crazy not to be able to thank people. We now have St Patricks Day garland for our window...
The girls have scarfs and shirts that will work great next year and they got some coloring activities. We are so blessed and feel so LUCKY!
